Make Up Application

This course suits the qualified therapist wishing to learn about the application of make up to different skin types and conditions. You will learn how to plan and apply make up for several occasions and how to disguise minor imperfections. You will also learn the art of applying false lashes and for this purpose you will need to have a glue test prior to the start of the course.

Beginners may take the course, but would need to be motivated to work on clients immediately after the training day to keep up the skills.

  • The importance of selling products to the client

VTCT NVQ Level 2 Award in Make-Up.

The course will cover the above over a couple of days, you will then be required to work from home doing before and after photographs (day, evening and special occasion), providing written evidence (with support from the tutor), returning for 3 practical assessments, 2 test papers (+ 1 Health and Safety) and to complete ranges.

The first day will focus on:

Workbooks

Anatomy and Physiology of the face and skull

Portfolios and how to provide evidence

The assessment book

A full demonstration

Student works on a model with help from the tutor

How/when to complete the course

Ongoing support is then provided by phone or e mail, the student determines the duration of the course
